FB2 & FB3 Online Theory Courses
Our online theory courses are conducted live with a maximum of 15 participants, ensuring plenty of time for practice and review. In each session, we explore topics like weather, tides, safety, and engines together.
Chart work is demonstrated live on screen, allowing participants to draw or plot the given tasks on their own charts. We then analyze the results collectively via screen sharing. A nautical chart and additional materials will be mailed to you in advance.
Virtual Skipper Training
The “Virtual Skipper Trainer” is a harbor maneuver simulator available for Windows and MacOS. At Blue-2, we use the VST for our own train-the-trainer seminars to keep our instructors up to date for skipper training. With the “Marina Construction Kit,” you can quickly replicate marinas or training scenarios for immediate use in briefings.
For newcomers, we recommend our app “Harbor Maneuvers for Skippers and Crew”, which uses videos and animations to explain all maneuvers and line-handling techniques.
INTERACTIVE LEARNING MATERIALS
Our learning materials serve as a compact skipper’s reference and the perfect complement to sailing courses. Through interactive lessons and animations, the content is clearly presented, while exam questions can be reviewed and practiced through a knowledge check. Almost all apps are available for iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS. The programs are continuously developed and adapted to meet evolving needs. More than 70 sailing schools already use our materials in their training programs.
